Part 2 - Trouble on the Horizon

One lesson I’ve learned in dealing with Amy Donoho is that I’m not really the type of person who appreciates having a middle man involved in my travel arrangements. Long before we ever set sail on the MSC Seaside there were clues that Amy wasn’t the most reliable or attentive travel agent. It took 3 days for her to respond to my original email request for information about the group cruise. I would think that a paid travel agent would be excited to respond to someone requesting information about a booking. Maybe folks who’ve used a travel agent before understand that but, as someone who likes to research and plan, I hated it.

In mid-June we decided it was time make a payment and we discovered that we couldn’t do so on our own, we had to go thru Amy to make a payment. Even worse is that we emailed her on June 21st, 2017 telling her we wanted to make a payment and it took her until July 11th to actually call me to process the payment. This is partly due to the fact that she consistently requested to have us email her our credit card info, which I’m very hesitant to do. I’d much rather input it myself or at least call her on the phone to relay it. Everything just took longer than it should have. Then when it was time to make the final payment it took another 3 days to get it sorted out…

As you can tell from the emails below, we had no idea that Elizabeth was no longer part of the picture at this point. Either their split was still happening or hadn’t fully fleshed out, but either way we were still under the impression that we were going with the “fun sisters from youtube”.
