Part 10 – Making Progress

I’m happy to say that Amy has stepped up and begun to do the right thing and refunds are making their way to people. As I understand it, everyone who was out money for the Nassau excursion has received their refund. Also many of the people who had cruise deposits owed to them have received refunds as well. However, there are a number of unfortunate things to report as well. Amy claims to have received death threats and threats to her family and I know there are many disgusting people making terrible comments about her and her family.


This is NOT okay. I do not condone this in any way, shape, or form. It’s also not okay to degrade, name call, or bully anyone. I fully believe Amy was wrong in this scenario, but she’s still a human being and her family and children shouldn’t be subjected to such behavior. I did my best to curtail such behavior in the facebook group I started, but many of those trolls just migrated over to another group to continue their smear campaign. My goal was never to smear Amy, and I believe this blog stands for itself. I’ve done my best to stick to facts and avoid speculation. Some people just love to pile on though. I knew those people existed, I simply never knew how large a population of them there is though. If nothing else, my eyes have been opened wide to that fact for certain.


The other unfortunate things I must report are about Amy’s statement today. She made a very long post but actually said very little. She claims that many people are “spreading falsehoods” about her, her family, and her business “with intent to defame, damage [her] business, and client poach”. I do not doubt this isn’t aimed solely at me and this blog, but I am sure that I’m part of that group of people in her mind. For one, I have specifically not said or spread anything that I couldn’t offer some sort of evidence to support. And secondly, my only intent has been to help others get a refund and prevent future victimization. Subsequently I have become a travel booking agent. Some have questioned my motives in doing so, and while nothing I can say will convince those people (nor Amy I surmise) that my intentions were pure I can guarantee that they were.


Firstly, Amy’s ability to book cruises has been damaged by none other than herself. Had she gotten out ahead of this situation back in December this blog would never have been created, the videos would never have been created, and neither would the facebook group. Even if we assume she had pure motives, the simple fact is that she NEVER, to this day, has said why the excursion didn’t happen nor why the refund process was taking so long. Why? The only reason I can think of is that the truth , whatever it was, made her look bad. Well, I’ve got news for everyone, the truth is the only thing that will EVER help you save face, and even then sometimes it’s just not going to happen, but at least you can stand proud that you told the truth and nobody can ever say you lied.


So if Amy can’t book cruises because her boss terminated her contract, because people complained, because Amy wouldn’t be forthright and honest… who can she blame but herself. She claims that she has “never scammed anyone” and isn’t “a thief” or “a fraud”. Well I can say a couple things with 100% honesty and accuracy. I have intentionally avoided calling her a scammer because, even though I felt she did wrong, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt that she didn’t set out to do anyone wrong. To me a scammer is someone who intends to do wrong. AND, even though I have zero personal experience with this side of things, there is an entire history with her as a Disney shopper that many would not classify as honest.


She claims that she “can’t explain things here as well as they need to be explained”. Sure you can Amy. It’s NEVER wrong to do the right thing. It’s never too late to come clean and be honest. If you come clean and be honest AND I’m wrong, I’ll say so. I WANT to be wrong here Amy, but your complete and total lack of communication at this point is ENTIRELY what got you here. And, if I’m wrong I’ll make a YouTube video, blog post, public apology… whatever it takes to let people know I was wrong and that this was all simply a misunderstanding. Your statement today isn’t a step in that direction though.


She also claims that she never “blocked a single person from the group on my facebook pages”. Technically this may be true… technically. Since the “pages” in question are actually “groups” then she hasn’t blocked anyone from her “facebook pages”. Since she has admins of those groups it’s also technically possible that someone else blocked me. But the fact remains that I’ve been kicked out of all Sea Cruisers facebook groups (Seaside & Family), blocked from the Bliss group, and unfriended by Amy. I can post screenshots of those, but since it’s impossible to prove that I didn’t leave them on my own I’ll stick to this shot which proves I’m blocked from the Bliss group. I’m also sad that Amy saw fit to protect herself in her PayPal refunds by sending them as business transactions rather than actual refunds and/or friends and family transactions. Thus costing people fees and providing her the opportunity to file a claim against those payments in the future. I must say though that this could be simply because PayPal has blocked her from using the friends and family option because of complaints filed by the people she owed.

With all that said I feel the time has come to end this blog and the associate facebook group. I believe the goals I set out with have been accomplished. I’ve gotten word out to hopefully prevent future victimization and I’ve done all I can to help people get refunds. With those goals accomplished, and barring some unforeseen development, there will be no more YouTube videos or blog posts, and the facebook group will close on February 26th. The blog and videos will remain online until I’m satisfied that Amy has come clean about the situation and has taken steps to avoid putting future cruisers/viewers in the situation that many found themselves in over the past months.


The following is a roadmap that I believe Amy could follow to achieve that goal.
